Rally Sunday - September 7, 2008
We celebrated the beginning of Sunday School and our regular church activities on Sunday, September 7, 2008 with a hotdog lunch outside on the lawn cooked by the Men's Cooking Group and served by the Hospitality Group. Nicole Schmidt, our Sunday School Coordinator, made some butterfly cakes and we did another butterfly release. Everyone from young to old had a great time.
River City Days Pie Social and Parade -
August 3, 2008
On the first weekend in August, Red Wing celebrated it's annual summer festival - River City Days. We participated this year with a unit in the parade along with our annual Pie and Ice Cream Social in Central Park which we've been doing for 20 years.
Cemetery Cleanup Saturday July 12, 2008
A tornado went through the area on Thursday, July 10 and we lost our two large trees in the Vasa Cemetery. We were able to get a crew together and cleanup the cemetery the following Saturday morning. Here is a picture of our cleanup crew sitting in what is left of the Cottonwood tree.
