First United Methodist Church

The United Women in Faith is an organization for all women who are a part of the United Methodist Church. It is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the local and global ministries of the church. The United Women in Faith of First United Methodist Church strives to meet these goals by serving the church, the Red Wing community, and the world.

Our two Circles, Eve and Ruth, meet monthly at the church for fellowship and a program. Eve circle meets on the second Monday at 9:30 am; Ruth Circle meets the second Tuesday at 1:00 pm. All women are invited to the circle meetings.

The United Women in Faith holds two fundraisers during the year: a Fall Rummage Sale in October and a Cookie Walk in December. All church members are invited to participate in these events. The group also serves funeral meals that become a ministry of caring for the bereaved family. Our group disburses the funds earned each year, with donations going to church, community, and Minnesota charities and needs.
